Act-On Intermediate Training Workshop Syllabus

A 2-day virtual training to take your Act-On skills to the next level.

Goals

Students learn how to leverage more advanced features of the Act-On platform including: dynamic content, personalization, and progressive profiling. Users will develop dynamic segmentation and implement more targeted automated messages with practice exercises led by Act-On Learning Consultants.

You provide the content, we'll provide the how-to. 

What to Expect

The Intermediate Training Workshop runs Tuesday through Wednesday 8 AM through 12 PM PT/ 9AM through 1 PM GMT. 
There is a 30 minute break each day. The time of the break varies, but usually starts between 9:45 and 10:15 PT.

Pre-Requisites

Have completed Fast-Track Onboarding, a New User Training Workshop, or have used Act-On for a year or more. 

DAY 1

 

List Management Best Practices
  We will start the training with review of different lists in the platform, best practices when managing multiple lists and how to use Standard Field Names to maintain data governance. There will be some recommendations on the set up of Marketing Lists and advanced segmentation (including building & saving queries).

 

List Maintenance Programs
  If you ever wondered what List Maintenance Programs do and how to use them, please stay tune during this topic. We will provide you examples and use cases and will even ask you to have a go.

 

Subscription Management
  Subscription management allows your contacts to subscribe to specific email categories from your organization. For those clients who have not enabled this feature we will provide a step by step instruction and answer all your immediate questions.

 

Advanced CRM Strategies and ABM
  This session is aimed to assist marketers who are not familiar with various CRM Objects and new to Account Based Marketing. We will demo how to use this feature and what you can accomplished with it in the platform.

 

DAY 2

 

Email Personalization
  This session will cover various options for Email personalization and go beyond {{First Name}}. We will look at how you can personalized content by using behavior segmentation, send from CRM Contact Owners, personalized Call to Action (CTA) and use Dynamic Content.

 

Advanced Forms
  If you are looking to learn more about how to get less friction with forms, this session is the one you do not want to miss. We will discuss and demo features like prefill, conditional fields, progressive profiling and hidden fields.

 

Advanced Landing Pages
  A few tips and tricks will be shared in our Advanced Landing pages session, we will look at personalization, how to show and hide content based on a device, how to add additional tracking and also create unique custom urls.

 

Advanced Automated Programs
  If you have attended Act-On New User training you would know how to create Prospect Nurturing Programs, during this training we will look at improving flows by implementing more advanced segmentation and Email send features like A/B and Conditional Email in Automation programs.
